Departmental Organization

The Greenfield Police Department is the largest law enforcement agency in Franklin County. The agency operates on a 24 hour a day, year round basis from its headquarters at 321 High Street in Greenfield. The agency maintains three divisions that include Patrol, Investigation and Administration. The women and men of the department are comprised of highly trained individuals, sworn and civilian, dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community by delivering quality service and innovative, effective programs aimed at reducing crime and the fear of crime.

 Department personnel include sworn and non-sworn, full and part time positions. All sworn positions including that of the Chief of Police come under the selection criteria of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Human Resources Division.
