Welcome to the Greenfield Police Department's Coplogic Online Incident Reporting System.  This interface provides you with the convenience of reporting certain minor, non-emergency incidents via an interface accessed through our website.  We also plan to set up a kiosk to be used within our lobby area.  This interface has been made possible through the Western Region Homeland Security Council grant program.

Overview


Welcome to the Greenfield Police Department Online Incident Reporting System.  If this is an emergency, please call 9-1-1. If this involves a serious incident, please call (413) 773-5411 and do not report via this online system.  If this matter involves a minor crime or you wish to report an occurrence please follow the link below.  Please read below carefully to determine if our online reporting system is right for you. If it is, the system will allow you to submit a report immediately for review and follow-up if necessary.  It will also provide you with a temporary case tracking number allow you to print a copy of your report for free.  Upon review and formal case approval, you will receive an email notification and you may request an official copy of the report by contacting our Records Clerk at (413) 773-5411.


Do not use this system if:

   •     The incident is still in progress;
   •     There is evidence or information present which may lead to a suspect's
            apprehension or arrest
   •    The incident has just occurred or there is a liklihood that the suspect is
         still in the vicinity;
   •    The incident did not occur within the city limits as described below

You cannot report the following incidents online:

   •     Violent crimes (i.e. assault, assault & battery, kidnapping, robbery, etc.);
   •     Sexual crimes (i.e. rapes, sexual assaults, indecent assault and battery,
          etc.);
   •     Stolen motor vehicles;
   •     Lost or stolen license plates;
   •     Traffic accidents;
   •     Child or elder abuse


Filing Online


Please confirm the following to ensure that our online reporting system is right for you:
    Did this incident occur outside of the City of Greenfield ?
  •    Did this incident occur on Interstate Route 91 within or outside of the City of Greenfield
  •    Did this occur on either the main or Downtown campuses of Greenfield Community College ?
  •      Do you know the suspect ?
  •      Was either your home or your vehicle broken into ? 
  •      Were you physically assaulted or verbally threatened with physical harm ?
  •      Is there evidence that could lead to the identification of a suspect ?
If you answered NO to all of the above questions, our online reporting system is ready for you.  Make sure to turn off your pop-up blocking software on your computer before filing the report. If you answered YES to any of the questions, you should not use this system to file a report online. Please see our Online Reporting FAQ page to determine your reporting options.  


After You Have Filed Online


Upon completion of our online reporting system process you will:

  •       See a message stating that "Your report has been submitted" showing that your report is complete;
  •       Be given a temporary case number and emailed this temporary printable report;
  •       Once the report has been reviewed by our officers, an approved permanent report will be emailed to you. Review time will vary based on case load and the availability of reviewing officers. It will commonly take between 24-48 hours.
Please note that all cases filed online will be reviewed. Upon review, you may be contacted if further investigation of your case is appropriate and necessary.  If a report is rejected during our online review process, you will receive an email detailing the reason for the rejection.  Filing a false police report is a crime and will be prosecuted.
